A Lady Walks Dwelling Alone at Night time filmmaker Ana Lily Amirpour is writing and directing an adaptation of Joe Hill‘s darkly comedic horror comedian Basketful of Heads.
Deadline stories that Bluestone Leisure has secured the rights, enlisting Natasha Lyonne (“Poker Face,” “Orange Is the New Black”) to star.
Launched in 2017 from DC’s Hill Home, the seven-issue sequence follows June Department, who discovers that each unhealthy man she decapitates leaves a speaking head behind. With each kill, June provides a brand new voice to her twisted Greek refrain — and one other eight kilos of literal baggage.
Bluestone will finance the motion horror comedy, with Akiva Goldsman and Greg Lessans producing for Weed Street alongside Director of Improvement Shiva Nassab, who introduced the mission to the corporate and can be overseeing.
Lyonne will produce for Animal Footage, with Dannah Shinder govt producing and Max Ferguson overseeing. Richard Saperstein, Brooke Saperstein, and Annie Saperstein will produce for Bluestone Leisure, with Beau Turpin govt producing.
